Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping & Delivery

I haven't received my order yet - where is it?

First, check your order status and tracking link in the 'My Orders' section of your account. If it shows as shipped, use the tracking number to see the latest courier update. If it is still processing or seems stuck, contact our support team at service@lensbazaar.com with your order number and we will investigate and share an update.

How long does dispatch and delivery take?

In-stock items ordered before 5 PM are dispatched the same day. If an item is temporarily out of stock due to high demand, it typically ships within 1-3 days. A few specialised lenses - Biofinity Toric XR and Biofinity Toric XE Multifocal - can take up to 45 days, though they often arrive sooner (usually 7-21 days). Delivery: most metro addresses receive orders within 24 hours, and non-metro locations within 24-72 hours, barring events outside our control such as curfews, airport or security delays, or monsoon and floods. You can see live status in your account or contact support with your order number.

My order was short-shipped / only partly delivered. When will I get the rest?

A short (partial) shipment means part of your order was dispatched separately, usually because some items were temporarily out of stock. The remaining boxes are shipped as soon as they are available and you will get a separate tracking update. For the status of the balance items on your specific order, contact support with your order number.

The delivery agent says my phone is not reachable. What should I do?

If the courier cannot reach you, please confirm that the phone number on your order is correct and reachable. Share the correct or alternate number with our support team at service@lensbazaar.com along with your order number, and we will pass it to the courier so delivery can be reattempted.

How do I track my order or resolve a delivery issue with the courier?

Track your order using the tracking ID in your shipping confirmation. If you face a delivery issue (delay, wrong status, failed attempt), contact our support team with your order number. We'll raise a ticket with the courier partner (e.g. Blue Dart / Delhivery) and follow up until it's resolved.

My order shows as 'delivered' but I haven't received it. What should I do?

If tracking shows delivered but you don't have the package, please check with family, neighbours or building security first. If it is still missing, contact our support team with your order number. We will raise a trace with the courier and, after verification, arrange a re-shipment or refund.

Tracking shows 'delivery attempted' but I was available. What now?

Sometimes a courier may mark 'delivery attempted' by mistake or couldn't access your premises. Please reach out to our support team with your order number, and we'll coordinate with the courier to arrange a re-delivery.

Can I get urgent or express delivery?

If you need your order urgently, please contact our support team with your order number and delivery pin code. We will do our best to prioritise the shipment with the courier. However, express delivery depends on courier availability and serviceability for your location, so it cannot always be guaranteed.

Why is delivery not available for my pin code?

Delivery to some pin codes may be temporarily or permanently unavailable due to courier serviceability or operational constraints. You can check serviceability at checkout. If your area is not covered, please contact our support team and we will explore alternative delivery options for you.

Why is my delivery delayed?

Deliveries can be delayed by factors outside our control such as severe weather, local disruptions or courier backlogs. Please check your tracking for the latest status, or contact our support team with your order number for an update specific to your shipment.

Why do I need to provide a prescription for an order shipped to the US?

For shipments to the US, US Customs and the FDA may require a copy of your contact lens prescription. If we request it and it isn't provided promptly, the package could be held or destroyed by customs. Please reply to our email with a copy of your prescription as soon as possible so the shipment can clear smoothly.

How do I change the shipping address or phone number on my order?

To update the delivery address or contact number, please contact our support team with your order number and the corrected details as soon as possible. Changes can only be made before the order ships. To update your saved details for future orders, log in and edit them under 'My Account'.

How do I place a manual order with different powers for each eye?

If your prescription has different powers for each eye, simply reach out to our support team via phone or email with the full details: power (sphere), and cylinder and axis if applicable, for both left and right eyes, along with the quantity you need. We'll create the order for you and send a secure payment link to confirm. It's that easy!

Payments

I paid but didn't receive an order confirmation. What should I do?

First, check your spam or junk folder, and verify that the email address and mobile number you entered at checkout are correct. Confirmations can occasionally be delayed. If you still don't see it, contact our support team with your payment or transaction reference, and we'll verify the payment and confirm your order.

The amount was deducted but my order was not confirmed. Will I get a refund?

Yes, if your payment was deducted but the order wasn't confirmed due to a gateway or network issue, you'll get a refund. Please share your transaction ID or bank reference with our support team. We'll verify it and either complete your order or refund the amount to your original payment method.

How do I pay for a manual or phone order?

For orders placed over the phone, we send a secure payment link by email or SMS. Simply open the link and complete your payment online. If the link doesn't arrive or you need help, please contact our support team.

Why do you verify my phone number for Cash on Delivery (COD) orders?

For COD orders, we verify your phone number to confirm the order is genuine and to coordinate delivery. If you missed our verification call or your number was unreachable, please contact support with your order ID to confirm the order or update your number. You can also request an online payment link instead of COD. Note: COD is available for a flat fee of Rs 125.

Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available and is there a fee?

Yes, COD is available on serviceable pin codes for a flat fee of Rs 125. If you prefer, you can pay online instead via a secure payment link. For COD orders we may verify your phone number to confirm the order and coordinate delivery.

How do I place an international order and pay in my own currency?

If you are ordering from outside India, please use LensBazaar's international website eu.lensbazaar.com (click to reach), where prices are shown in EUR and you can switch to many other currencies at checkout - so you can review and pay in your own currency. Your soft contact lenses are then shipped to your country. For any help with an overseas order, contact our support team.

Returns & Refunds

I received the wrong, damaged or defective product. What should I do?

We're sorry for the trouble. Please raise a request through our Contact Us page with your order number and photos of the issue. We'll arrange a free replacement or full refund within 7 working days. Rest assured, every order is quality-checked before dispatch.

What is your return window and how does the return / refund process work?

You can raise a return within 30 days. Unopened, unused boxes are accepted as long as the LOT number matches your order; opened lens solutions cannot be returned unless an official recall is announced. For a defective/complaint lens, we accept it opened (returned in a lens case with solution for inspection). Once approved, we arrange a reverse pickup. Refunds: unopened/unused lenses are refunded as soon as they reach our office; complaint lenses follow a manufacturer-mandated 3-6 month assessment. Refunds go to the original payment source (or, beyond 6 months, to your bank account). Reship and reverse-pickup charges are decided case by case - contact customer care to request a waiver for your specific case.

Prescription & Power

I ordered the wrong power. Can I change or exchange it?

If your order hasn't shipped yet, contact our support team with your order number and the correct power, and we'll update it. If it has already shipped, we can assist with a return or exchange for the correct power as per our returns policy.

Do I need a prescription to buy contact lenses?

Yes, a valid prescription from an eye specialist is required to buy contact lenses. Contact lens powers differ slightly from spectacle powers, so your spectacle prescription alone may not be accurate. If you have a spectacle prescription, our specialist team can convert it to the contact-lens power best suited for you - just contact us and share the details. For toric (cylinder/axis) or multifocal needs, please provide the full prescription for each eye so we can guide you to the right lens.

What do the values on my contact lens prescription mean (power/sphere, BC, DIA, cylinder, axis)?

Your contact lens prescription includes several key values. Power (SPH) corrects nearsightedness (negative) or farsightedness (positive). Base curve (BC) is the lens curvature in millimeters to match your eye's shape. Diameter (DIA) is the lens width. Cylinder (CYL) and axis correct astigmatism: cylinder is the lens power for astigmatism, and axis is its orientation in degrees. Always use your eye specialist's prescription for the best fit and vision.

Can I use my spectacle/eyeglass prescription to order contact lenses?

No, an eyeglass prescription cannot be used directly for contact lenses. For simple spherical powers, a conversion is possible, but higher powers need vertex adjustment, and contact lenses also require correct base curve and diameter. Always get a contact lens fitting and prescription from an eye specialist, or let our LensBazaar contact lens specialists help you convert a spectacle prescription to contact lenses - just raise a request through our support ticket system.

Product Selection

How do I order toric / astigmatism lenses with specific axis and cylinder?

Toric lenses for astigmatism require your full prescription for each eye: sphere (power), cylinder, and axis. You can enter these values while ordering on our website. If you're unsure or your values aren't listed, contact our support team with your prescription, and we'll help place the order correctly.

What happens if the lenses I ordered are out of stock?

If an item is out of stock, we'll contact you with options: switch to an equivalent available alternative (with any price difference adjusted), wait for restock, or take a full refund. We won't substitute a product without your confirmation.

What are the different generations of contact lenses, from hydrogel to the latest silicone-hydrogel and daily disposables?

Contact lens materials have evolved from early hydrogel lenses, which offered comfort but limited oxygen flow, to modern silicone-hydrogel lenses that provide significantly higher oxygen permeability for healthier eyes. The latest innovation includes daily disposable silicone-hydrogel lenses, combining high breathability with the convenience of a fresh lens each day, reducing deposit buildup and infection risk. At LensBazaar, we offer a wide range of soft lenses, including these advanced options, from top brands like CooperVision, Alcon, Johnson & Johnson, and Bausch + Lomb.

What is the difference between daily, monthly and yearly disposable contact lenses, and which should I choose?

Daily disposable lenses are used once and discarded, offering maximum hygiene and convenience with no cleaning required. Monthly lenses are replaced every month (or bi-weekly or quarterly, depending on how your eye specialist has advised you to use them) and need nightly cleaning and storage, while yearly lenses are replaced annually and require diligent care. Your choice depends on your lifestyle, budget, and eye health needs; daily lenses are ideal for occasional use or sensitive eyes, while monthly or yearly lenses may be more cost-effective for regular wear. Always consult your eye specialist to determine the best option for you.

What are toric contact lenses and how are they different from spherical lenses?

Toric contact lenses are designed to correct astigmatism, which occurs when the cornea is irregularly shaped. Unlike spherical lenses, which have the same power in all directions and correct nearsightedness or farsightedness, toric lenses have different powers in different meridians to compensate for the corneal irregularity. They also feature a special design to keep the lens properly oriented on the eye. At LensBazaar, we offer a range of soft toric lenses from top brands to suit your needs.

What are multifocal contact lenses and who are they for?

Multifocal contact lenses have multiple prescription zones to correct vision at different distances - near, intermediate, and far. They are designed for people with presbyopia, an age-related condition that reduces the eye's ability to focus on close objects. These lenses provide a seamless transition between distances, reducing the need for reading glasses. Today's multifocal contact lenses can often fully replace the need for glasses for all-day multi-distance vision and stay comfortable throughout the day. Contact your eye specialist or the LensBazaar contact lens expert team to find the right fit.

What is water content and oxygen permeability (Dk/t) in contact lenses, and why do they matter?

Water content is the percentage of water in a soft contact lens, which influences comfort and hydration. Oxygen permeability (Dk/t) measures how much oxygen reaches your cornea. Both are crucial: sufficient oxygen flow keeps your eyes healthy, while balanced water content ensures all-day comfort. For modern high-oxygen (silicone hydrogel) lenses, Dk/t is especially high, reducing dryness and allowing longer wear. Always follow your eye specialist's advice on which lens type suits your needs.

What are silicone hydrogel contact lenses and why are they considered healthier for the eyes?

Silicone hydrogel contact lenses are made from a material that combines silicone and hydrogel, allowing significantly more oxygen to reach the cornea compared to traditional hydrogel lenses. This high oxygen permeability reduces the risk of corneal hypoxia and related complications, making them a healthier choice for many wearers, especially for those who wear lenses for long hours. LensBazaar offers a wide range of high-oxygen silicone hydrogel soft lenses from top brands.

What are coloured contact lenses and can I wear them with a power/prescription?

Coloured contact lenses are soft lenses that change or enhance your eye colour. They are available both without power (plano) for purely cosmetic use and with your prescription to correct vision. If you need vision correction, you can get coloured lenses with your exact power, but you must have a valid prescription from an eye specialist. LensBazaar offers a range of coloured soft lenses from top brands. Always follow your eye doctor's guidance for safe wear.

Daily vs monthly contact lenses: which is more cost-effective for me?

Daily disposable lenses range from Rs 650 to Rs 5199 for a box, while monthly disposables range from Rs 339 to Rs 4500. Monthly lenses are typically more cost-effective per wear if you use them regularly, but daily lenses offer convenience and no cleaning. Your choice depends on how often you wear lenses and your budget.

Silicone hydrogel vs conventional hydrogel lenses: what should I pick?

Silicone hydrogel lenses allow more oxygen to reach your eyes, making them a healthier choice, especially for long wear. Conventional hydrogel lenses are more affordable and suitable for occasional use. LensBazaar stocks both types, so you can choose based on your needs and your eye specialist's advice.

Do I need toric lenses, and how do they compare to regular spherical lenses in price and fit?

Toric lenses are designed for astigmatism, where the cornea is irregularly shaped, while spherical lenses correct nearsightedness or farsightedness with a uniform curve. At LensBazaar, toric lenses range from Rs 1059 to Rs 5500, and they require a precise fit to align with the eye's axis, unlike spherical lenses which have a simpler fit. Consult your eye specialist to determine if toric lenses are right for you.

Which toric / astigmatism contact lens brand should I choose at LensBazaar?

LensBazaar offers toric lenses from Alcon, Bausch + Lomb, CooperVision, and Johnson & Johnson. The best choice depends on your specific prescription, comfort preferences, and budget. We recommend reviewing the product details for each brand and consulting your eye specialist for a personalised fit.

Which monthly disposable contact lens brand should I choose at LensBazaar?

LensBazaar offers monthly disposable lenses from Alcon, Bausch + Lomb, CooperVision, and Johnson & Johnson. The best choice depends on your needs-comfort, material, and prescription. Which color contact lens brand should I choose at LensBazaar?

LensBazaar offers colour contact lenses from Alcon, Bausch + Lomb, Freshlook, and Johnson & Johnson. Each brand provides a variety of shades and designs, so your choice depends on personal preference for colour, comfort, and wear schedule. We recommend reviewing each brand's product details to find the best match for your needs.

Which daily disposable contact lens brand should I choose at LensBazaar?

LensBazaar offers daily disposable lenses from Alcon, Bausch + Lomb, CooperVision, and Johnson & Johnson. The best choice depends on your needs-comfort, moisture, and prescription. We recommend comparing features or consulting an eye specialist to find the most suitable option.

Lens Care & Usage

How do I wear, store and care for my contact lenses safely?

Always wash your hands with soap and water and dry them before touching your lenses. Store lenses in fresh solution in a clean case, and replace the case every three months. Never sleep in lenses unless your eye specialist approves them for overnight wear. Follow your eye doctor's replacement schedule and avoid using tap water on lenses.

How long can I wear contact lenses each day and can I sleep in them?

Daily wear time depends on the lens type and your eye health, but most standard soft lenses are designed for 8-16 hours of daily use. Sleeping in lenses not approved for overnight wear increases the risk of eye infections and corneal complications. Always follow your eye specialist's guidance and the lens manufacturer's instructions for safe usage.

Which contact lens solution should I use and can I reuse or top up the solution?

Use a multipurpose contact lens solution recommended by your eye specialist for cleaning, rinsing, and storing your soft lenses. Never reuse or top up old solution; always discard used solution and refill with fresh solution each time you store your lenses. This prevents contamination and reduces the risk of eye infections.
